A Guide To Gourmet Food Trucks
Walking through one of my favorite hoods and seeing the circle of food trucks got me and a friend talking. She wanted to know if there was any particular night in her neighborhood where she could step out for some community building and summer evening enjoying like we were doing in South Park.
Since it’s my passion to find out what cool things are going on in different areas, I told her I’d see what I could find out. My first step was to talk to the owner of Gala, the grocery store where this gathering of trucks occurs each Tuesday night. Turns out, there’s a name for this gathering, and it’s Curbside Bites.
According to their website, “Curbside Bites is a gourmet food truck booking service. We bring gourmet food trucks to locations, and relieve location managers from the headaches associated with scheduling trucks and communicating with the over 250 individually owned gourmet food trucks in Southern California while also providing food truck owners with a centralized contact for booking their truck into multiple locations.

Trucks scheduled on a daily/weekly basis at locations throughout Southern California
Up to date, accurate schedule of trucks posted online at all times
Additional promotion of scheduled trucks at a location via our social media outlets, if desired by the location manager.”
