Once upon a time, there was a newlywed couple — Ellyn and Taylor, born-and-raised San Diegans who dreamed of a home of their own. One day Ellyn found our website, sent a message about first-time buyer options, and the story began.

We got right to work: sat down, built a plan, and mapped the area — favorites in, deal-breakers out. The must-haves? No shared walls, and a backyard for Wrigley, their golden retriever.

The Big Bad Kickoff Tour

Then it was time to get busy. The goal of our Big Bad Kickoff Tour is to get a feel for your target market — not to fall in love on day one. "This ain't some made-up HGTV house-hunting show where you see three homes and write an offer on one." But Ellyn and Taylor went full Hollywood and found "the one" on their very first tour: a fully renovated, detached single-family home with a backyard, a spacious front yard, and a cul-de-sac address.

How first-time buyers win

Here's what made it work: they acted on their gut, stayed coachable, and knew a deal when they saw one. We built real rapport with the agent and seller, they wrote an amazing letter, and they put their best foot forward on price and terms. Up against multiple offers, they won — accepted outright, no counter — and get this: they weren't even the highest offer. How about them apples?

This is the kind of Cinderella story we love to tell: making first-time-buyer dreams come true. Ready to write yours? Let's talk.
