Get your Kitchen Spotless in 15 Minutes
Hi Seller Who Lives At Home & Wants Top Dollar,
Having to leave your home in the middle of your favorite TV show or dinner because potential buyers just called they are on their way for a showing can be both an inconvenience and uncomfortable.
Well, I found this cool article that gives you a few tips to leaving your kitchen spotless in less then 20 minutes. STRESS NO MORE ::
These great tips were written by Nicole Fabian Weber from P&Geveryday:
1. Clear the clutter. First thing first: Clear off your countertops. Collect any dirty dishes, wrappers, and scraps of food from your counters and put them in the sink, dishwasher, or trash. You can’t clean if you’ve got a bunch of junk in the way. (And, no, don’t clean around the junk.)
2. Hit the sink. Before getting down on the countertops, wash dirty dishes — or load them in the dishwasher if you have one. Water and soap are bound to spray on your counter, so there’s no point in getting them sparkly clean first. Tip: If you’ve got any dishes that require heavy-duty scrubbing, let them soak in some hot, soapy water while taking care of step 1.
3. Spray your countertops and stove. Even if everything else is clean, a stovetop that’s covered in dried, crusty food will make your kitchen look and feel like a disaster area. Remove the burner grates (don’t worry about cleaning them now – save that for when you have more time) and spray your stovetop with cleaner. Let it sit for a few minutes while you wipe down your countertops and cabinets. When you’re done with the counters and cabinets, wipe the stovetop and put the grates back on.
4. Scrub any pots, pans, or dishes you let soak. If you’re still having a hard time getting any gunk out, try using a hard-bristled brush to scrape off stuck-on food remnants.
5. Clean the floor. There’s no need to bust out the specialty floor cleaner and mops right now, but you definitely want to give the floor a basic once-over. Use whatever method is easiest for you – personally, I’m all about spraying the floor with a little cleaner and wiping it up with a paper towel.
6. Final touches. Once you’re done with the main cleaning, take care of the finishing touches — take out the trash, wipe down the refrigerator door, and clean the faucet. Good as new, right? And, look at that — it barely took any time at all.
